Hi beautiful, welcome to my page! Today I'm going to review Laura Mercier Foundation Primer which I received from Amabie as my
giveaway prize. This is one of the goodies that makes me feel excited to try, but does it satisfies my expectations as a primer? Let's see.
This primer claims that it creates a smooth, invisible surface for mineral powders. This oil-free, skin- nourishing formula dries soft to the touch while minimizing the appearance of pores. Laura Mercier mineral powder applies evenly and last longer for a naturally flawless look.
Packaging:in a sleek, pearly grey tube packaging
Amount:1.70fl.oz/50ml
Texture: light watery lotion
Color: off-white
I tried this primer twice, first with CC cream and second with Mineral Powder Foundation. It's light, watery texture turns into a powdery finish once it dries. It feels so smooth, light and looks matte which I really love 'coz I have an oily skin. However,it gives a bit of flakey patches on my cheeks and nose when I wear it with my mineral powder foundation and it's more noticeable when I wear it with my CC Cream. My mineral powder foundation never gives me a flakey patches before when I used it with other primer. I will understand if my CC cream will look patchy with this primer, but with my mineral foundation powder?I think its a nay cause this primer should be great with mineral powder as what it claims to be. I personally don't like its scent too, it smell like a plastic doll for me. As for its staying power,it really did a good job as a primer. It's sunny when I used this primer,my whole face got so sweaty and oily but my foundation didn't melt.
Maybe this primer is best to use with Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation, which I haven't tried to do. Also,it contains Retinyl Palmitate an antioxidant which upon reading and researching, is not good on skin when exposed under the sun.
