A couple of weeks ago, I received a special package from Althea as part of being an Althea Angels and it contains the complete set of Althea Petal Velvet line including a hologram pouch which I can be use as a makeup kit pouch. This line started with the Petal Velvet Powder in Translucent that I always love to use for my oily skin, then they added two more shades of this loose powder and these are the Warm Beige and Pink Lavender shades. And now, I feel so excited for there newest released product in Petal Velvet fam and surprisingly it is not a powder but a protection from the sun, it is the Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway!
The 3 different shades of Petal Velvet Powder: Pink Lavender,Warm Beige and Translucent.💖 |
According to Althea, Petal Velvet Sunaway will shield your skin from the sun's rays and give it some petal protection. An ultra lightweight, invisible sunscreen is formulated with Damask Rose extracts, ensuring that your skin stays fresh throughout the day without any streakiness or a white cast. It has an SPF of 50+ and PA++++, so your skin will be kept protected all day. As part of the Petal Velvet line, it also contains micro-powder particles that give you a smooth, petal-like complexion.
Content:55ml
Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway is not just your ordinary sunblock, it also contains good ingredients like Damask Rose extract that's deeply hydrating and soothes irritations, leaving the skin feeling healthy. It also has Hyaluronic Acid a humectant that attracts moisture to the skin, preventing skin dehydration. And Geranium Oil, that gives the skin a radiant boost and heals acne. Petal Velvet Sunaway belongs to a physical sun protection that contains Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide that acts as a shield to your skin and reflects both UVA and UVB.
Have you ever seen a pretty looking sunblock packaging like this? It looks dollish and very girlish in the baby pink cap and white color bottle. Its cartoon box has the same design as the Petal Velvet Powder which looks like the classic Althea Box.
You need to shake well this product first before using in order to get its right consistency and efficacy or else you'll get a watery sunblock.
When shaken well, its consistency is whipped like or sometimes essence like texture it depends on how long you shake this product, it has a rose scent with a bit of citrus y scent that will surely make your morning feels nice, I just love its natural rosy scent which comes from Damask Rose extract . I like that Althea didn't put any artificial fragrance on this product as I'm not a fan of fragrance/artificial scents but still didn't make it boring because of the damask rose scent.
I am using this sunblock for 2 weeks now and I love it so far that I always reach out for this sunblock, it feels weightless on my skin and just like the Petal Velvet Powder, it gives a velvety finish, it's the feeling when you put a powder on your face but surprisingly not a flat matte but a natural glowing finish. I also noticed that my sebum production becomes lessen when I start using this sunblock, definitely a plus for oily skin gals like me and good for hot humid weather like here in the Philippines. Actually when there are times that I just want to be look natural, I use this sunblock alone without any foundation and it was good enough. It also layers well with foundation, no piling and act as a good base to the foundation and cushion that I am using.
If you are looking for a very affordable and high quality sunscreen that's not sticky, and doesn't leave any white cast, then Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway is just perfect!
PS:
I already hoard one, just incase I've run out of stock. Lol!
